At Base Power Company, we believe that the energy transition is inevitable - and that batteries + software are the key unlock to this transition. Our grid is not fit to handle today's levels of power demand, which can cause incredibly expensive and sometimes fatal problems. When EV penetration goes from~ 7% to 70%+, and other parts of the economy are electrified - these problems will intensify. We are building a company that solves power scalability and enables our renewable electric future by deploying significant amounts of connected and intelligent battery storage capacity across the grid. 

We are seeking a world class individual to join our early team to own Deployment Operations. As an early employee, you will shape, lead, and operate the tooling & process for a customer’s journey from acquisition through asset operation. We intend to build a world-class Deployment Operations function to meaningfully increase the amount of distributed energy storage on the grid.

What You’ll Do

• Build and operate the full customer workflow from acquisition to post-installation commissioning of the asset at the customer site, to include items such as:

  • Customer eligibility determination

  • Permitting

  • Materials management - procurement, planning, and inventory

  • Installer selection, scheduling, and management

  • Asset commissioning

• Product and service offering architecture for deployability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or operations focused field

• Experience building a complex real-world operation with multiple external and internal interfaces, preferably surrounding hardware and the building trades

• History building a team, driving results and fostering a culture of excellence with both indirect and indirect employee types

• A distinct ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

• Experience developing technically-oriented products: software or hardware

• Experience working with public utilities or related entities, 5+ years
