Base helps the grid when demand is high. When the power goes out, Base helps keep homes running.

The grid needs extra power at certain times of day. Base helps fill the gap, which helps keep electricity more affordable and reliable.
Whether you want to lower your bills, protect your home from outages, or both — Base has a plan for your home.

Your rights in a Texas HOA
Under Texas Property Code §202.010, homeowners in HOAs have the right to install "Solar Energy Devices" (as defined in Tax Code §171.107), which includes batteries like Base. Your HOA may regulate the location and appearance of the installation under its aesthetic guidelines. Because each HOA has its own review and approval process, we strongly encourage you to contact your HOA before scheduling installation to avoid delays, required changes, or potential violations.
Permits & location
Base manages all permitting creation, submission, and inspection with local cities and utilities. Hardware is installed near the electric meter along an exterior wall. No changes are made to the roof or front face of the home.

Safety & certification
Hardware is certified to UL standards: the 'gold standard' of electrical system safety. This means it has gone through a rigorous set of safety tests prior to being built, plus each individual system is tested prior to installation. Our electricians are licensed, bonded, and insured. All electricians work under a Master Electrician. Our batteries use Lithium Iron Phosphate technology, which is far safer than other batteries by design, including being much safer than the batteries in most EVs, phones, and laptops. Base batteries have active fire suppressants built into them. If the battery detects a fault, airbags of fire suppressant pop inside the battery, significantly reducing the likelihood of a fire spreading if one were to start.
Yes! Base has a strong referral program. Base members are essential for spreading the word about Base and getting more neighborhoods involved.
Existing members can send friends, family, neighbors, or strangers their personal referral link, which you can access in your Base account.
Refer a friend and you both will receive a free month of power (up to $250) when their battery is installed. For members with solar, we swap the free month for a $150 bill credit — because lower bills shouldn't mean a small reward.
